I am a designer and a scholar of fashion studies. I’ve worked in the fashion industry in New York and India and the Far East. I make custom wedding and special-occasion wear , conduct fine fabric searches, and specialize in reproduction clothing. Since 1997 I’ve also worked in the Library of the Fashion Institute of Technology, making sure that students and faculty have access to the best forecasting and design and research, and making sure that staff and librarians understand these materials. For the last dozen years, I’ve assisted patrons at the Reference Desk as well as writing documentation, the library blog, and managing our visitor appointments.
